Virtual and Remote Labs

Penn State IT virtual and remote access services available to the university community.

Remote Access

The Penn State Labs ecosystem provides several virtual and remote access options.  A GlobalProtect connection will be required to access virtual labs and network storage from outside PSU networks as part of the Secure the Perimeter initiative.

Virtual Labs

All students and faculty at all Penn State locations, including World Campus, have access to WebLabs, a full cloud-based desktop computer lab environment.

Remote Labs

Some locations provide remote access to computer labs, which allow you to access physical computers in computer labs when they’re not in use or the building is closed. The availability of this service is limited to certain programs and campuses. Access is available via WebLabs.

Network Storage

WebFiles provides access to Penn State network storage.
